Registration Information
For Programs with No Visa Requirement

Here are the steps to register for courses that do not require a visa:
  1. Read about the program or course you wish to take. Be sure to review fees and withdrawal processes.

  2. Register in one of these ways:

    • Completely online
      To register online, find your program and follow the instructions for online registration. Click here to see Programs... »


    • By mail or fax
      Complete the steps for registering online, but do not click on Send Electronically. Print and send the form with a US-affiliated bank check, money order, or with your credit card information to the address given.

    • By phone
      Call the UW Extension Registration Office at 1-800-543-2320 or (206) 543-2310 during business hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. PST.

    • In person
      Go to the UW Extension Registration Office at 4311 11th Avenue NE, Seattle.
You will receive a confirmation letter once your registration is complete.
Refund Policies
Evening and Weekend Courses
You will receive a 100% refund if you withdraw by 5:00 p.m. on the fifth business day of the program. You will receive a 50% refund if you withdraw by 5:00 p.m. on the tenth day of the program. There is no refund if you withdraw after 5:00 p.m. of the tenth business day of the program.

Online and STEP Courses
You will receive a 100% refund if you withdraw by 5:00 p.m. on the day before the first class session. You will receive a 50% refund if you withdraw by 5:00 p.m. on the day before the second class session. There is no refund of the registration fee.

Short-term English Programs
You will receivea 100% refund if you withdraw by 5:00 p.m. on the day before the first class session. You will receive a 50% refund if you withdraw by 5:00 p.m. on the day before the second class session. There is no refund of the registration fee.

Deadline
In general, courses are open until full. Students are rarely accepted after the first week of the quarter.
