Learn the basics of project management processes!
Fundamentals of Project Management (FPM) is an intensive nine-week certificate program focusing on the core disciplines of project management. It will help you

  • gain a better understanding of project management processes by examining case studies and participating in team projects that cover such areas as risk management, communication skills, cost, and scheduling.
  • improve oral and writtenbusiness English language skills
  • network with faculty and other project management professionals
  • experience American culture in Seattle, a beautiful and vibrant Pacific Northwest city
FPM has been designed by an advisory board of UW faculty with contributions and guidance from many industry professionals.

Those who successfully complete the program receive a UW Certificate in Fundamentals of Project Management and 18 Continuing Education Units. FPM meets eligibility requirements for an F-1 student visa. After completing this certificate program, you will qualify for the Business English Internship Class (BEIC).
