Jump-start your academic career!
Join us during summer for a unique program designed to help you meet the challenges of studying in US graduate programs in business and law.

SIEBL is a 5-week academic preparation program that focuses on

  • developing English language skills you need for successful academic performance
  • preparing yourself for academic work in your US graduate program
  • exploring current issues and concepts in American business and law
  • increasing your awareness of American culture, and
  • building a network of peers and friendships to support you through your life in the US
The curriculum includes

  • courses to develop your academic and oral proficiency skills
  • interacting with professors and graduate students in the fields of business and law
  • visiting local businesses, law firms, and courts
  • taking part in lecture and panel discussions which provide an orientation to US life and culture, and
  • participating in social activities
Students from related professional fields are welcome, too. We have had students in public affairs, engineering and natural resource management, and economics who felt this was an excellent orientation to the experience of being a graduate student in the US.
