The Advanced Fundraising Management Certificate Program is a new offering designed for experienced professionals seeking to optimize results in major or sustaining fundraising efforts.

The need for resources in support of nonprofit organizations is greater than ever. Understanding how fundraising works is a key element to building a career in the nonprofit sector. Today more than ever, nonprofits seek professionals who understand how to optimize internal fundraising management tools and cultivate external donor relations. In short, fundraising is a relationship business.

The new Advanced Fundraising Management certificate program educates participants on inspiring new trends and effective solutions to expand the resources of nonprofits. You will build new skills and understanding for increasing the positive impact of your nonprofit organization.

Advanced courses in fundraising are taught by seasoned professionals, and focus on deploying effective strategies for securing major gifts from individual donors and through special campaigns. Current issues such as alternative business models, diversity of sources, databases, and web-based fundraising will be addressed. Also covered will be key issues in human resources management relative to retaining and developing your fundraising staff.

Is Advanced Fundraising Management right for you?

The program is designed for fundraising and development professionals with 3 or more years of experience who want to increase their span of responsibilities. It will be helpful for those who have worked in a single function and who want to broaden their knowledge, as well as for those who seek to gain knowledge in specific areas such as major giving, planned giving, and special campaigns.

Those in jobs, or aspiring to jobs with titles such as Associate Manager of Major Gifts, Associate Director of Development, and Capital Campaign Coordinator, will be appropriate for this program. Specific courses may be of interest to non-profit executive directors who are growing the development function or considering a special campaign for specific allocation of funds, such as building, endowment, capital, and/or equipment.
