Learn the basic principles of audio engineering and gain practical, hands-on experience while working in a sound studio. Examine audio production from acoustics and microphones to the recording and mixing process. Take fieldtrips to local studios to view professional sound production for music, video, and film. Study the use of software to create digital audio files for the Internet and other media.

- Principles and tools of audio recording technology
- Project plans, pricing, and the basics of mixing, storage media, and the mastering process
- Multi-track recording and overdubs, signal processing, editing and mixing, and mastering techniques
- Completion of an audio project from pre- to post-production
- Audio tools on location and techniques for solving environmental noise challenges
