Instructors

Mary Romero Sweeney

Sweeney has been developing, using and testing relational database systems for over 20 years for companies including Boeing and Software Test Labs. She is the author of Visual Basic for Testers (Apress, 2001), A Tester's Guide to Programming in .NET (Apress, 2006), and numerous articles. A frequent speaker at software conferences, Sweeney performs independent consultation and training through her company, Sammamish Software (www.sammamishsoftware.com). She has degrees in mathematics and computer science from Seattle University, is an MCP in SQL Server, and is on the board of the International Institute of Software Test (www.iist.org).

Jeff Levinson

Levinson is a solution design & integration architect for The Boeing Company. He holds the MCAD, MCSD (VS6 & .NET), MCDBA, SCJP and Security+ certifications. Levinson is also a Microsoft Architect MVP and the author of two books: Building Client/Server Apps with VB.NET (Apress 2003) and Pro Visual Studio 2005 Team System (Apress 2006). In addition, he writes articles for Visual Studio Magazine, and speaks at user group meetings. A former instructor at San Diego State University and Bellevue Community College, Levinson has a Master's in Software Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.

Steve Harrell

Harrell has served in several roles in his nine years with Microsoft, including Lead Database Administrator and Production Manager for various internal business units. He was most recently a member of the SQL Server Center of Excellence team. He holds MCSE and SQL Server MCP certifications. Harrell has also been a speaker at TechEd, ITForum and Microsoft Management Summit conferences. Prior to joining Microsoft, Harrell was a consultant doing Visual Basic and SQL Server development and worked in IT at The Boeing Company.
