Mark Alway
President, YouthTracker.net

Alway is the president and owner of YouthTracker.net, an online database service for nonprofit organizations Alway also works as a web applications architect for PWG Design in Mount Vernon, WA. Formerly he served as lead software developer for the Office of Educational Partnerships and Learning Technologies at the University of Washington. Alway began the transformation of teaching and learning at the UW by introducing web-based educational tools in 1997 and, together with the Catalyst team, produced widely used tools for the university community. He works with MySQL and Perl/PHP in his programming. Alway has served as instructor for UW Extension's Certificate Program in Internet Programming and for the Art Institute of Seattle.

M. Zoe Holbrooks
Consultant

Holbrooks works on information design, retrieval, and browse/search projects for start-ups, established corporations, and clients in the government, nonprofit, and education sectors. Some of her projects have included an XML-based corporate intranet, encyclopedia indexes, search engine development, web site design and development, creation of browse and search taxonomies, thesauri and online indexes for the intranet and web portals, and research and development for database development projects. Currently, she serves as webmistress for the National Science Foundation’s research network for avian endocrinology, which is headquartered in the UW Biology Department.

Lincoln Mongillo
Senior Web Developer, Sense Method Media

Mongillo is an independent User Experience and Flash developer specializing in fusing coding, interface design, marketing and business logic to create great user experiences. In his role as Multimedia Developer with Sense Method Media, Mongillo works with leading agencies and creative corporate clients—such as Children’s Hospital, Cranium and the UW—on Flash and web application conceptualization, architecture and implementation. His background includes work in film, motion graphics and editing. He is passionate about making the web an interactive, emotional landscape, where video, interactivity, and data are integrated seamlessly.

Jeff Witzel
Senior Computer Specialist, UW Center for Technology and Disability Studies

Witzel serves as network administrator and webmaster for Center for Technology and Disability Studies at the University of Washington. Previously, he was an accountant and data miner for Visio/Microsoft Corp. Witzel has participated as an instructor and teaching assistant in the Web Technology Solutions Certificate Program, and developed the client-side design and scripting course for online learning. He earned his B.S. in informatics from the UW Information School
