Elementary Spanish
SPAN 121, 122, 123 Online learning series allows beginning language students to hear Spanish and experience its cultural diversity. Students use voice mail to communicate with their instructor. Covers the equivalent of SPAN 101, SPAN 102, SPAN 103. Uses an alternative "planned immersion" method with video as the central medium of presentation. Prerequisite for Spanish 121: No previous Spanish study, or score of 0-15 on SP100A placement test if Spanish is language of admission. Cannot be taken for credit if SPAN 101 already taken. Prerequisite for Spanish 122: SPAN 121. Cannot be taken for credit if SPAN 102 already taken. Prerequisite for Spanish 123: SPAN 122. Cannot be taken for credit if SPAN 103 already taken.

Voice mail is still an option if you do not have a microphone, do not feel comfortable recording via your computer, or if you simply prefer voice mail.
